Come explore Bluebird Backcountry at Bear Mountain! Get away from the crowds for a day of backcountry skiing or riding across 1,200+ private acres of aspen glades, open meadows, and steeper lines.
Your day pass provides access to the mountain plus comforts that you won’t find in the true backcountry, such as pre-set skin tracks, avalanche-managed terrain, ski patrol, a mid-mountain warming hut (with free bacon!), fun on-mountain challenges, and a beacon park to practice avalanche rescue skills.
You’ll be one of our special guests, as we allow no more than 200 people per day on the property. Bluebird provides a memorable backcountry experience with basically no crowds, zero lift lines, and plenty of space. We can’t wait to see you there!
Please note: All guests are required to carry a beacon, shovel and probe to leave the base area whether you are with a guide, an instructor, or on your own. Snow safety gear and other equipment is available for rent (reservations recommended).
