SUMMARY:Sunset Tour and Film Fest
DESCRIPTION:Set out on a special\, after hours tour of Bluebird Backcountry and catch the sunset from the top of West Bowl. After howling at the moon\, we’ll ski back to the base for an extraordinary night of films by the fireside\, warm drinks\, friends\, and fun! \nThe optional evening ski tour will leave the base at 4:30pm. Participants will need to be familiar with their backcountry gear and comfortable skiing on intermediate terrain in the backcountry. They will also need to carry a beacon\, shovel\, probe\, and a headlamp. \nThe fireside films will begin at 5:45pm. These films will be a collage of human-powered stories and backcountry-inspired experiences. We’ll have hot drinks ready and the fires roaring to keep you toasty. Please feel free to bring additional blankets to keep warm. \nIn the event of bad weather this event may need to be rescheduled. We will notify participants 48 hours in advance with a weather report and confirmation of the event. Refunds will be issued if you are unable to make the rescheduled date.\n\n*You do not need to purchase a day pass if you do not plan on skiing during the day. If you plan on skiing Bluebird during the day and want to attend this event after\, you will need to purchase a day pass as well.\n

SUMMARY:Beaver Brawl COSMIC Skimo Race
DESCRIPTION:Warm up for the COSMIC Bacon Brawl this year at the Beaver Brawl! This course will be only slightly less aggressive than our annual Bacon Brawl course. \nWith 4\,000–5\,000 feet of vert to skin\, skate\, bootpack\, and ski over 9 or 10 miles*\, the Bacon Brawl course is designed to reduce even experienced racers’ quads to jelly.
