Feel confident on the mountain knowing you have the best board for a day in the backcountry. You’ll start the day with your board split into two planks for the uphill, then transform it into a top-notch snowboard for the ride down. Your rental includes a Weston splitboard with bindings, detachable climbing skins to travel uphill, and retractable poles that you’ll use going up and stow going down. Your splitboard is compatible with your regular snowboard boots, so bring them with you!
PLEASE NOTE: Rentals do not include access to the mountain. A Day Pass or Season Pass is required. This rental does not include a helmet, beacon/shovel/probe, or snowboard boots.
Backcountry ski boots can make or break your day. That’s why we offer the Dynafit Hoji and K2 Mindbender ski boots, some of the best and most popular backcountry touring boot options. They’ve got a flexible “walk” mode and stiffer “ski” mode, meaning your puppies will stay happier for longer, and let you spend more time out on the slopes. They are lightweight, high-end, and compatible with most alpine touring bindings. Note for Splitboarders: If you own snowboard boots, you can use those — no need to rent different boots for splitboarding.
The Snow Safety Gear rental package includes an avalanche beacon, shovel, and probe — all in a comfortable pack with enough room left to stash your snacks, water, and layers.
